New
Middle & Long Distance Track Series at Battersea Park
A
new middle and long distance track series is to be held this
summer at Battersea Park on Wednesday evenings. There will be five different races over the four
evenings culminating in the SEAA 10,000m championships. The top
prize is £75 to the runner who gains the most points according
to the IAAF scoring tables from three of the four races. I.e. runners can
run all four races and choose their best three scores or race in just
three races to be eligible for the competition.
Of
course if you simply want to turn up for one or two events - or
maybe just the SEAA 10,000m - then you will be very welcome.

NB.
runners can choose either race on the 25 June to count towards
the competition.
Due
to the nature of the competition with it being based on times and
not positions, it is expected to provide a good opportunity for
runners to get some fast times in competitive races. A ladies series will be held
only if there is sufficient interest (40 or more women's race
entries throughout the four meetings) otherwise ladies can enter
anyway and run in a mixed race.
Entry
fees: £2.50 per event before the day, £3.00 on the night.
To enter the Endurance GP for the whole series before the first
meet - £8.00. If you intend running the 10,000m, have the
necessary area qualification, and wish to be included in the SEAA
Championship, an additional £8.00 entry is required which we will
pass on to the SEAA. All fees payable to Belgrave Sports
Promotions Ltd.
