Top left: Russell Dessaix-Chin has one lap to go but is clearly away from the field. Centre: James Kelly and James Connor of Kent set out on their second lap, wrestling for the minor medals. Right: Caught out with a very long set of spikes, Neil Speaight had painful feet by the time the race was over. Centre left. A classic duel between Pete Willis and Will Cockerell resulted in them both having fine runs for 15th and 14th. Centre: Ben Hurley had his first serious race for the Bels and did himself proud in the scoring twelve. Right. A real team player, Tim Weeks was running with a cold but ended up injuring his ankle again; he limped on to the finish and we won the "twelve to score" as a result. Bottom left: Mal Byansi was holding third place as the field set out; he paid for it but held on to become our sixth scorer in 38th. Right: Russell, Knut Hegvold, Will Cockerell and Mal Byansi take great delight in showing off the Dewar Shield. Pictures by Alan Mead.
