National 12-Stage Road Relay - 26 April 2008
Top: Stephen Sharp (A5) ran 26:25 to place 9th on our all-time list. Richard Ward (B5) went off hard and felt the pinch at the end. Second row. Old hands Paul Freary (C5) and Alaster Stewart (E5) took care of long stages 3 and 5. Third row. James Kelly's (J5) ongoing Achilles tendon problem flared up ten minutes into the run but he managed to ignore the pain to run 27:31. Jonathan Blackledge (K5) improved his best short stage time by two seconds - 14:18. Fourth row. Mark Pollard (M5) shook off Woodford Green's Matt Shone and ran 27:24 while Simon Jones (T5) destroyed his previous best for the course with 26:35.
