Eight Bels burst out of pen 71 at the start of the senior men's race with Mal Byansi (6172) making the running from Russell Dessaix-Chin (6175) and Phil Wicks (6197). Also pictured are Knut Hegvold, Pete Willis, James Kelly, Will Cockerell, and Lander Eguia. Another handful of Belgravians are making a more leisurely start.
Over the shoulder of Kite Hill and Frank Tickner (Wells City H 8607) has grabbed the lead from Steve Phillips (Winchester & Dist. 8736), Steve Vernon (Stockport H 8246), Andy Vernon (Aldershot F&D AC 6034), Phil Wicks (Belgrave 6197), Moumin Geele (Newham & Essex Beagles 7607), Keith Gerrard (Newham & Essex Beagles 7608) and Jonathan Thewlis (Notts AC).
