British Athletics League Division One, 05 June 2004

Above: Heavy traffic at the first takeover in the 4 x 400m.  Chris Moss gets barged by chasing runners after passing the baton to Noel Levy.

Below left: Scot Thompson took the B shot competition and also scored heavily in the javelin and discus.

Below right: Will Sharman sends Graham Beasley away to take the Bels into the lead in the 4 x 100m.

Above: All-rounder Will Sharman ran to second place in the B sprint hurdles, third in the B high jump and opened up for the winning 4x100 metres relay team.

Below left: Bernard Yeboah set a season's best of 7.43 to place second in the A long jump.

Below right:  A glutton for punishment, Will Cockerell tackled the steeplechase again; the following morning he became Surrey 10 miles road racing champion.

Above: Tim Bayley (1) tracks Andy Robinson of Newham & Essex Beagles at mid-race in the 1500m but it was Tim who went ahead in the second half of the race and held his advantage all the way to the finish.

Below: More 4 x 400 metre action.  Michael Parper ran a tremendous 47.4 to hand over to anchor man Sean Baldock almost at the same time as Shaftesbury's last man, Adam Charlton, set out. They were just as close 46.4 seconds later as the North London team just got the verdict by 2/100ths of a second.
