Eric Hall competes in the World Masters Games, Melbourne - October 2002

President Eric Hall celebrated his 70th year by taking part in the World
Masters Games 5000m Track and 10000m Road Race Walks where he placed
first in
his age group with 29:46.98 and 1:04:18. Eric first competed in
Melbourne, Victoria, in the Olympic Games of 1956 when he placed 9th in
the 50 kilometre walk. Surely he could never have imagined that he
would return forty-six years later and bear his original Olympic issue
British vest to a couple of "golds".
