Juniors at National Cross Country Championships, Leeds

After travelling the 200 miles to Leeds to compete in what many think is the best race of the year, and certainly the most spectacular, Belgrave's Juniors were met by a glorious sunny, dry and warm day.

First off was Freya in the U17 Ladies race, running as ever with a smile on her race and pleased to get the pain out of the way quickly.

We then had our U13 Boys, only one athlete short of a team, with Monty Juxon having a blinder to finish 14th.

He was followed home by his brother, Jago, and Max Simpson. Maybe next year we'll have a team - a fourth runner this year would have given us a top twenty placing, maybe even top ten.

Job done: Jago, Monty and Max

And to round off a great day, Lina Colas competed to her usual high standard in the U13 Girls to place 133rd from a field of over 400.

This is a serious business. Must concentrate...
