Belgrave launch Tracksmith collaboration at party on Chiltern Street

Belgrave Harriers are delighted to launch their collaboration with Tracksmith, which will see the club race and train wearing the New England brand.

The club will continue in its famous claret and gold for all official club fixtures. Belgrave Harriers may also wear a change white and gold vest for non-club outings.

Members received their kit at a special launch event hosted by Tracksmith on Chiltern Street, London. It was worn for the first time at the English National Cross-Country Championships in Chester, on February 25, with Sarah Astin taking the women’s title.

Men’s team manager and kit secretary Steve Gardner said: “Tracksmith have totally understood the club and our history and ambition, and the importance of community too."

Past president and club record holder for the mile John Gladwin enjoyed the party.

Don Anderson, who holds the club record for number of appearances at the National Cross Country championships (25), examines the Tracksmith Belgrave collection.

“They’re keen to support dedicated but non-professional athletes to get the best out of themselves, and that’s exactly what we try to achieve as a club, too.

“And their aesthetic really suits our a club with a history like ours. The new kit looks and feels incredible.”

The club’s new home kit will revert to a clean claret with gold hoop and circular crest, as seen on Belgravians for the majority of the 20th century. The BELGRAVE lettering was dropped from the front of the singlet as we’re recognisable enough from our colours alone.
