The Bels had a runaway win at Parliament Hill in spite of being without any 5000m runners, steeplechasers, 400 hurdlers and only one 800m runner. James Everard was top scorer, competing in seven events with five wins to notch up 39 points. Captain Peter Mayfield wasn't far behind with six events and three wins to score 33 - and the added bonus of three personal bests in the throws. Best performance was Kyle McCarthy's sprint hurdles win in 15.6. Match 2 in the series is May 16th at St. Mary's Twickenham.
