National Junior Athletics League Results 2006: Match 4, Brent Division Division, Hemel Hempstead
There was a shortage of competitors at this fixture, with no takers at all for the sprint hurdles, probably due to a number of factors including a young athletes’ SEAA Combined Events championships over the weekend. No shortage of rain showers though and the officials lost count of the number of times they changed in and out of rain gear – at least the thunder, rumbling for half the afternoon, kept out of our way. The Sutton sprinters dominated the sprints and won the 4x100m relay, Idowu Akindele having an especially good day and winning the Athlete of the Match award.
