Throws round-up: Jansen selected for England Athletics Youth Talent Programme

Junior throwing talent Neva Jansen has been selected for the England Athletics Youth Talent Programme, while sprints coach Bob Bridges took silverware at a recent masters event.

U17 discus thrower Neva Jansen has been chosed for this yea’rs cohort for the England Athletics. Youth Talent Programme. Neva is ranked in the top 10 in the country for her age group and will be starting the two year program, the first of six training camps ,at Loughborough in late October. This is excellent news for Neva and the club, as Neva will be given access to some of the best coaching resources in the country.

Sprint coach Bob Bridges (V75 age group) came second in the Veterans National Championships held at Derby in September, with a Hammer throw of 30.79 metres. Bob was very pleased with his silver medal.
