South of the Thames 5 miles Team Race, Nork Park, Tadworth

A welcome set of bronze medals came the way of Belgrave Harriers with Captain Richard Ward leading the team home and raising a spirited finish to move into 3rd individual spot in the last 50 metres. Second man home was Will Cockerell, ahead of Martin Holm, with Lander Eguia moving strongly through the field to close in our quartet.

Richard Stannard had got lost during his bike session in the morning and running late, missed the start by over two minutes. Flogging himself around the 8.5k course he got up to 56th of the nigh on 200 runners, but had he started on time and placed about 15th there would have been no difference to the result. Giving away even more of a start to the opposition, Warren Lynch set out 12 minutes late!
