South of the Thames CCA 5 miles Team Race, Wimbledon Common

It was pleasing to see 11 Belgravians tackling this 5 miles team race over our own course on the Common. With the men's and women's races being held in conjunction it made for a healthy 200 plus field that kept our small band of marshals and officials busy.

A blast from the past was provided by Chris Sweeney who has recently rejoined. The last time we saw him in action in a Belgrave vest he won the individual Surrey Cross Country title ... and of course many moons ago he won the National Junior Cross Country Championship whilst a member of Tipton Harriers ... now a couple of years into veteran status he was still able to lead our team home and we hope to see him in a few more of our teams before too long.

Now, can we get a good team out for the South of Thames Championship race over 12k in a few weeks time?
