2XU Surrey Men's CC League Division 1, Match 2, Denbies Vineyard, Dorking

Worst Surrey League result in 15 years!

In spite of Paskar Owor battling away at the front of the field, the Belgrave men's squad sank to their worst team place in the last decade and a half - last! There's absolutely no blame to be placed on the shoulders of the 16 men who lined up - they certainly did their best - but with a heavy loading of M40s and M50s in the ten they were up against it in this always high quality competition.

Frank Tickner, guesting before his run out in the trials a few weeks hence, was off and away from the start while Paskar Owor, a little short on running recently due to his studies, slugged it out with the other locals. In fact Paskar led the scoring race out on the second lap but on the downhill sections towards the end, lost his position to Bruce-Littlewood while managing to hold off Mike Coleman (South London).
